Timbrook is is the director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research in Global Medical Affairs at bioMérieux and adjunct assistant professor at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. He has more than 10 years' experience in health care and was previously an assistant professor of Epidemiology and lead antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist at the University of Utah Health. He has approximately 50 peer-reviewed publications and has served 4 years on the IDSA Diagnostics Committee. His research focuses on comparative effectiveness and safety research, antimicrobial stewardship initiatives, big data, evidence synthesis, and understanding the complex relationship between microbiology diagnostics and clinical outcomes.
