Prinzi is a clinical microbiologist by training and spent over 12 years working at Children’s Hospital Colorado as a clinical laboratory scientist. She has a PhD in clinical and translational science, as well as a master's degree in public health from the University of Colorado Denver, and was a 2018 American Society for Clinical Pathology "40 Under Forty" awardee. She is currently an infectious disease medical science liaison for bioMérieux and works to bridge the gap between clinical diagnostics and clinical practice.
