Mann Packing Co., Inc Issues Recall of Vegetable Products Due to Potential Listeria monocytogenes

Mann Packing Co., Inc. announced the voluntary recall of a series of vegetable products sold to retailers in the United States and Canada. Potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes was discovered and notification was given by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Relevant products have a “best if enjoyed by” date of October 11, 2019 to November 16, 2019. To date, no adverse health events associated with these products have been reported.

Meijer Issues Recall of Select Vegetable Trays Due to Potential Listeria monocytogenes

Meijer, in conjunction with Mann packing Co., has announced a voluntary recall of select vegetable trays and broccoli florets due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalls apply to all Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Wisconsin.

Relevant products were sold between September 25 and November 4, 2019. There have been no illnesses reported to date.

Ghnw, LLC Issues Recall For Mushroom Stir Fry Blend and Stir Fry Blend Due to Possible Listeria monocytogenes

GHNW, LLC, based in Clackamas, Oregon, has announced a voluntary recall of Mushroom Stir Fry Blend 10 oz and Stir Fry Blend 16oz tray that were produced using Broccoli Slaw that is being recalled by Mann Packing Co, Inc. due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

To date, no adverse health events have been reported in connection with these products.

Wegmans Recalls Veggie Power Blend and Tofu Shiitake Slaw

In connection with a recall of vegetable products by Mann Packing Co. Inc., Wegmans has recalled various products from their self-serve salad bar. No health effects have been reported at this time.

Mill Stream Corp. (Sullivan Harbor Farm) Issues Recall of Cold Smoked Salmon Due to Possible Clostridium botulinum

Mill Stream Corp. of Hancock, Maine has issued a voluntary recall of Cold Smoked Salmon due to potential contamination with Clostridium botulinum. The product was recalled because the product’s water phase salt tested below 3.5%, causing potential issues related to proper freezing and refrigeration practices.

Affected products were sold between March 6, 2019 and September 17, 2019. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Cay Thi Queentrees Food USA Recalls Poultry Produced Without Benefit of Inspection

Cay Thi Queentrees Food USA, based in Garden Grove California, has recalled approximately 43,848 pounds of poultry products that were imported and distributed in the United States without Food Safety and Inspection Service inspection. The products were also imported from Vietnam, a country ineligible to export poultry products to the US.

The problem was discovered during in-commerce surveillance activities. No adverse events have been reported.
