A central portal to support clinical practice for patients with or at risk for HIV was launched.
POCN, the largest nurse practitioner (NP) and physician associate (PA) network in the United States, announced this month that it had opened its HIV Center of Excellence, which is an online HIV education portal for medical peers.

According to POCN, the Center of Excellence is designed to educate medical peers with the most up-to-date guidance and treatment resources. NPs and PAs are a growing network within patient care, and POCN is working to give them the latest news and best practices to better support their patients, which includes patients outside their specialty in many cases.
The site will have the following:

The Center of Excellence is led by HIV NP/PA experts and faculty advisors: Angel I. Ribo, PA-C, MPAS, AAHIVS, DFAAPA, Associate Medical Director at Outreach Community Care Network; Sarah Smith, MHS, PA-C AAHIVS, Chief Quality Officer at Philadelphia FIGHT; D. Trew Deckard, PA-C, MHS, AAHIVS of an HIV Specialty and Adult Primary Care facility in Dallas, Texas; and J.Wesley Thompson, PA, MHS, AAHIVS, DFAAPA, Medical Director of HIV and Co-Founder of Amity Medical Group.
