Lodise is a professor at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, as well as an infectious diseases clinical pharmacy specialist at the Stratton VA Medical Center. He took a break from these, however, to step into the role of researcher.
With 8 posters to share at IDWeek 2022, Lodise sat down with Contagion to disseminate his various studies. The topics ranged from urinary tract infections (UTIs), to fungal infections, to antimicrobial stewardship. “It really spans the spectrum of my different interests,” he said. “I do think they have a lot of clinical applicability.”
In this exclusive interview, Lodise describes highlights from his research findings.
“Each one of these abstracts really provides some important information for clinicians,” said Lodise. “Every one of these projects offers some clinical insights into challenging-to-treat patients, identifying some potential unmet needs.
