Interview Transcript (slightly modified for readability)

“My research is about the prospective evaluation of babies with hearing complaints or babies that had microcephaly and we are worried about their hearing function. We started that cohort study to look at their development for about 2 years. So, until now, we were following them for about 1 year and 3 months.

We have [observed] sensory hearing loss in three out of 13 babies that we are evaluating and we could observe that there are some babies that develop progressive hearing loss and one other developed delayed onset hearing loss.”
