“Cities hold a large share of the global HIV burden because this is where people live; this is where many of the catalysts for the HIV epidemic exist, [such as] population density, poverty, and where key populations affected by HIV live. So, in many countries, a large proportion of the population of people living in the country with HIV are found in a small number of cities.”
