US Has Highest Number of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

The United States now has more cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) than any other nation, including China and Italy.

At least 81,321 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the US. There have been more than 1100 deaths.

Italy has a total of 80,589 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with at least 8215 deaths.

There are now more than 520,000 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 around the world. About 122,000 individuals have recovered, and 23,639 have died.

A large amount cases in the US are concentrated in New York, which has almost 38,000 cases.

New Jersey, California, Washington, Michigan, Florida, and Louisiana all have over 2000 cases.

Health care workers on the frontlines face challenges such as protective personal equipment shortages amid the global pandemic.

There are no currently approved treatments for COVID-19, but several are under investigation.
